If you want to create an illusion of paradise use tropical wall murals. You can do that by painting the windows framing a white sand tropical beach color, or you can paint a giant palm tree growing from the floor. You could also paint colorful parrots on trees, or have a sea and water theme with a sandy beach near your ceiling etc.
Wall Murals can bring sunshine and warmth into a room with no windows or help stave off the winter blues. To lay them out and make the scene look live you will need complex coloring to capture light and shadow. You can start easy by incorporating small tropical elements like small fish darting out from behind the sofa or a palm tree stretching on the wall and colorful butterflies around it. You can even buy a vinyl wallpaper and hang it above your couch and paint white shutters around it to have a view of the beach from your living room.
Online retailers sell various tropical wall mural stencil kits which cost between 30 and 120 euros.
Hiring an artist to paint your tropical mural will save you time, but not money. Depending on the size and complexity of the mural, you can expect to pay between 20 and 80 euros per square meter.
