A closet is that place where you are most likely to put all the stuff you don´t want to to see laying around the house. That way, a closet is prone to become overwhelming and in need of a new organisation.
You can expand the use of your closet, make more use of the given space with closet organizers. Here are a few of the things you will need to get started: a tape measure (so you know how much space you have to work with, a paper (to draw out a plan for your closet) and a level (to mark how you want to structure your closets interior).
Closet organizers come in a range of types, shapes and materials. You can find some made of plastic, wires, wood and even a mixture of these materials. Go with a shelving that is already cut or a package that is going to fit in the space that you have drawn out on your paper, the prefab pieces will work just as well as board and materials that you have to cut and assemble yourself.
Your drawn out paper will prove helpful when you go to your nearest home supplier Keep in mind that if you want to paint your closet, you will be better off doing this before installing any new shelving. You can paint the walls and ceiling, and then the touch ups after will be a walk in the park. Creating that organized structure in your closet is usually a one-time thing, so you want to take your time, plan it out well, and make sure to create as much efficiency as possible.
A piece of advice about organizing your closet: on the highest portions of your closet you can include many smaller shelves where you can store boxes, sweaters, or rarely worn items. On the top most portions of your closet you want to be able to see, store, and then get those items if needed, so be sure you have a stool or steep stool for your closet at hand in order to reach these top most portions of your closet.
In integrating any closet system into your closet, you need to be sure that if you have doors on your system, that your closet is deep enough to enable the use of doors before purchasing them. On the drawing of your plan, you should include information about how much space you have between the shelves and the wall and the door that closes on the closet so you can be absolutely sure you have enough space before putting additional doors on your organizer.
