Do you have a unicorn obsessed child? like I do, if you’re answer is yes, you’re going to love this unicorn headgear DIY project, which is fun making and easy for kids as well.
My 6-year-old daughter loves all things unicorn, so I’ve been thinking about making something like this unicorn headgear for a while now.
I am in LOVE with how this project turned out and am excited to share with you how your little unicorn fans can make their own unicorn headgear.
I wanted to keep this project very simple, so I used easy to handle supplies for kids.
I decorated headgear with paper rose flowers which I have made. Lets see which supplies I used and how I made this easy DIY Uni corn head gear.
Supplies:
Scissors White hard sheet Golden glitter sheet A4 color sheets Rose paper flowers Glue gun or craft glue Pencil
Scale
Directions:
First Make Rose Flowers:
1- Cut a square (20 cm length) on A4 paper. Fold it in half and make a crease. Fold it again in half and make another crease. Cut along the creases to have four square pieces.
2- Take one of the square pieces and fold it into half horizontally from bottom to top. Fold it again from left to right to make a smaller square. Now fold from the left top side of the square to right bottom, to make a triangle shape. Repeat the steps with the rest of the 3 square papers. Open up the papers to have a petal shape to have 4 petal shapes.
3- Take any petal shape. Cut one segment from it. Save the segments you cut out from now on, to make petals. Take the second petal shape cut two segments from it. Take the third petal shape cut three segments from it. Along with the segment just cut out which has three segments, save the leftover cutout with five segments. Take the fourth petal shape cut four segments from it. like in the above picture.
4- Take the petal pieces, roll them, and curl the edges of each petal segment outwards to make it look real. Stick them together from end segments starting from big to small on top of another.
Make 2 to 3 more flowers repeating same steps
Cut ears and horn
Take glitter sheet cut horn on it, then cut out the ears on it of bigger size then on colorful A4 paper cut out smaller size ears. You can also use printable template for ears and horn cut out.
Headgear Base
Take a white hard sheet (70x55cm) to cutout a long strip from it for headgear base as the size of your child head.
Assemble flowers, ears, and horn on headgear base with the help of glue. Your Uni corn headgear is ready to rock for your child!!!
